Since Then he has been busy working on other pictures.
In addition to his art work (which is really a hobby), Mr. Kokomo co-start on a NBC television show and is an assistant to Carrado, the magician.
Mr. Kokomo is a chimpanzee by birth. Carrado, the magician, is his keeper, boss, and "foster father." The TV show is Dave Garroway's "Today," and Kokomo is truly the assistant to Carrado, the magician. Kokomo made his debut on TV three weeks after his arrival to this country. He was on WCRT-T-O in Miami, Florida.
Carrado thinks that modern art from these almost-humans will become a fad and that some of them may be acquired by the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. (Kokomo's talent allows him to top the work of many homosapiens.)
Two things make Kokomo a celebrity besides abstract art. He is the only chimp in the world who can do magic tricks alone, and he is a television comedian.
His 'foster father' related some things that Kokomo is too modest to admit: 'Koke' (his nickname not a beverage) has a wardrobe for every occasion -- bathing suit to tuxcedo; he is usually in a good mood but is pampered like a baby sometimes; and he's smarter than many of his human friends."
The chimpanzee is growing up just like any human child. Kokomo Jr. eats the same meals and shares the same table with his owner. He always uses a spoon. Drinks from a glass and keeps himself tidy with a napkin. Kokomo does have favorite food, but it varies from day to day. Sometimes it might be bananas, but the next time it could be pineapple -- or even sirloin steak.
